Why are people drawn to vegetarianism? Some have made the switch for environmental reasons, or because they love of animals and have an ethical opposition to eating them. Others just want to live longer, healthier lives. An abundance of scientific research demonstrates that there are significant vegetarian health benefits. Even the federal government recommends that we consume most of our calories from grain products, vegetables and fruits.
